Despite Setbacks, Bangladesh Fought Back
Bangladesh, after being sent in to bat, faced a rocky start, stumbling to 35/5. However, a commendable recovery was orchestrated by Towhid Hridoy and Jaker Ali. Hridoy's anchoring innings of 67, along with Ali's tenacious 47, constructed a crucial 114-run partnership for the sixth wicket, elevating Bangladesh to a somewhat competitive total of 228. This duo was instrumental in salvaging the innings.
On the Indian side, bowlers Mohammed Shami and Kuldeep Yadav were pivotal in keeping Bangladesh in check. Shami delivered figures of 2/33, while Kuldeep clinched 2/39, effectively dismantling Bangladesh's top order early on. Even an uncharacteristic dropped catch by captain Rohit Sharma didn't ruffle India's pursuit of victory.
